Last area to be developed in Cadence community in Mesa

Residential, commercial and mixed-use businesses are to be constructed on 18.1 acres on the southwest corner of the Crismon and Williams Field Road alignments in the community of Cadence in Mesa.

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Oct. 13 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to recommend that the City Council approve the development unit 3 plan within the Pacific Proving Grounds North Community Plan, also known as the Cadence Community Plan, with Shelly Allen absent.

Cadence is on 464 acres that was formerly part of the General Motors Proving Grounds. It is generally bounded by Ellsworth Road to the west, the Williams Gateway Freeway alignment (State Route 24) to the south, Signal Butte Road to the east and the Powerline Floodway Channel and Ray Road alignment to the north.
