Affordable housing developer Dominium will host the opening of new units for working families in Phoenix and will break ground on another project the next day in Goodyear.
On Tuesday, Oct. 24, representatives will celebrate the grand opening of 308 new units of affordable housing in South Phoenix. Then on Wednesday, Oct. 25, Dominium will break ground on 657 units of both family and senior affordable housing in Goodyear.
The Goodyear project is Arizona’s largest affordable multifamily new construction development, and also is Dominium’s largest in the state.
Vista Ridge in Phoenix, a 437,000-square-foot, 308-unit apartment complex for individuals earning no more than 60% of area median income, is located at 2050 W. Southern Ave. Designed for working families, residents will be able to access the South Central light rail extension.
The next day, construction officially begins on two adjacent Goodyear properties, the 492,000-square-foot Estrella Springs, and the 247,000-square-foot Suncrest Vista, located at 16895 W. Van Buren St.
Estrella Springs will bring 396 units of affordable apartment homes for families, and Suncrest Vista will bring 261 units of affordable senior apartment homes in the winter of 2025.
To qualify for this housing, residents must earn less than 60% of the area median income.
As Arizona’s housing crisis looms, Dominium and its partners are investing more than $1 billion in the state to develop affordable housing for essential workers and seniors. Dominium currently has over 1,500 affordable homes under construction across the Valley and an additional 1,500 units proposed in the next few years.
