Police: Man was pinned against truck

A landscaper working in Surprise was killed Thursday morning after he was struck by a car on the side of the road and pinned up against a parked landscaping truck.

Feliciano Sanchez-Medina, 60, died at a West Valley hospital shortly after the collision near 14950 W. Mountain View Boulevard.

The vehicle that hit the victim was traveling east on Mountain View at the time of the crash around 8:05 a.m.

Police: Man was pinned against truck

A landscaper working in Surprise was killed Thursday morning after he was struck by a car on the side of the road and pinned up against a parked landscaping truck.

Feliciano Sanchez-Medina, 60, died at a West Valley hospital shortly after the collision near 14950 W. Mountain View Boulevard.

The vehicle that hit the victim was traveling east on Mountain View at the time of the crash around 8:05 a.m.

“Officers immediately began employing life-saving techniques,” Police spokesman Tommy Hale said in a news release. “However, while at the hospital, the victim was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.”

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. However, Hale said it doesn’t appear that drug or alcohol impairment was a factor.
