Lamb Of God, Mastodon to bring co-headlining tour to Phoenix

Shows will mark 20th anniversary of both bands’ classic albums

Grammy Award-nominated metal titans Lamb Of God and Grammy winners Mastodon will co-headline the Ashes Of Leviathan Tour, which will hit Phoenix this summer.

The tour finds the iconic bands join forces to celebrate the 20th anniversary of two seminal releases: Lamb Of God’s biggest-selling album “Ashes of the Wake” and Mastodon’s acclaimed sophomore album “Leviathan,” which were both released on Aug. 31, 2004. Both bands will perform their respective albums in full.

Special guests Kerry King and Malevolence will support throughout the tour.

The show will arrive in downtown Phoenix on Friday, Aug. 23 at Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St.

An artist pre-sale launches at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 6, followed by the general on-sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9. Visit www.ashesofleviathan.com for tickets.

The tour kicks off in July in Grand Prairie, Texas, and culminates on the exact 20th anniversary of each album on Aug. 31 in Omaha, Nebraska,

In addition, both bands will be supporting a charity of their choice throughout the tour, and fans will have the opportunity to opt-in to donate at check out when buying their tickets.

Mastodon will support the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
