Lake may find place in Trump administration as ambassador

Kari Lake, who failed in two runs for political office in Arizona, may find a place in the incoming Trump administration as the ambassador to Mexico.

Semafor reported on Monday that Lake was the top contender for the position, which would be responsible for engaging with the Mexican government of President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Lake, who ran unsuccessfully for Arizona governor in 2022 and then for U.S. Senate in 2024, has been a support of Donald Trump and his border efforts. The former Fox10 news anchor had recieved endorsements from Trump for both of her runs for office.

The Trump transition declined to comment.
