Progress on the Viewpoint Lake liner replacement project continues to pick up speed as the estimated date to refill the lake comes up this week.
Work crews installed liner on the lake bottom past Emerald Point then turned their attention to the phase one area near Lakeview Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd. Pacific Aquascape officials had projected Friday, Aug. 4 as the date to begin refilling the lake.
This week crews were preparing the slope liner and those around fish habitats for the bottom liner. They were also grading and flattening the lake bottom.
