Approaching another bond election in November, Kyrene School District Governing Board has approved the sale of the remaining $19,450,000 in bonds from its 2017 election to support upcoming capital improvement projects.
At the Sept. 12 meeting, the board members unanimously approved the bond resolution, allowing for the district’s finance team to manage the issuance and sale of these final school improvement bonds from the last bond and override election.
Previously reported by the Independent, district Chief Financial Officer Chris Herrmann said at the board’s Aug. 22 meeting that he anticipates the sale will take place in early October, and a majority of the funds from the bond sale will go toward projects planned for the 2024-25 school year.
