Kvaran: The IRS hiring not evidence of dictatorship

I find it difficult to fathom why Thomas Kampert (“History shows Biden really is like Hitler,” Aug. 26, 2022) has chosen the IRS as his proof that Biden is like Hitler.
Although it appears to me that the IRS did include something like “willing to use deadly force” in its recent recruiting campaign, if you look for a moment at what special agents in the IRS do, you’ll find that the requirements include, “The Duties will include being “willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.”
If Mr. Kampert feels that these sorts of duties should be best accomplished while unarmed, perhaps he should join the “defund the police” movement, where his sentiments might be better appreciated.
