Kolodin assumes commanding lead in GOP primary for Secretary of State

Alexander Kolodin appears primed for victory in the Republican primary for the Secretary of State race for the state of Arizona as more results continue to roll in.

As of 1 p.m. on July 23, a total of 357,539 ballots have been cast in the primary for a 40.63% turnout. Kolodin holds a commanding 60.75% and 198,988 votes while Gina Swoboda trails behind with 39.25% and 128,548 votes.

Kolodin looks to head to the General Election and face off against incumbent Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) and Duwayne Collier of the Green Party, both of whom ran unopposed in their primaries.
