The Arizona Animal Welfare League, in partnership with PetSmart Charities, is hosting a kitten adoption event 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Oct. 25 at the PetSmart, 21001 N. Tatum Blvd. in north Phoenix.

Families and pet lovers can stop by to meet adoptable kittens and talk with AAWL’s team about the adoption process.

“Thanks to PetSmart Charities’ support, we’re able to help more cats and kittens find loving homes and reduce the strain on shelters across Arizona,” said Alessandra Navidad, president and CEO of AAWL in a release. “With the holiday season right around the corner, there’s no better time to add a new addition to your family. Adopting during National Adoption Week not only saves a life, but can make this time of year even more meaningful.”

“Pets are family and bring so much joy and companionship to our lives,” said Heidi Marston, director of Pet Placement Initiatives at PetSmart Charities in the release. “But adopting a pet not only adds benefits to your own life; it’s also a gift to your community. Making room in your heart and home for a pet frees up room for another pet to enter the shelter, so you’re really saving two lives — while also supporting the animal welfare professionals that care for so many lost and lonely pets.”
