Kingswood, Surprise elementaries shine in Dysart sports

Both Title 1 schools win 3 district crowns

Kingswood Elementary School has always been set apart in a sense.

It was the first Dysart Unified School District campus built in Surprise’s boundaries, opening in 1989 before the district’s growth spurt. It is the only DUSD school north of Bell Road other than Asante Preparatory miles further north.

In the 2022-23 school year, this Title I K-8 school set itself apart by winning district sports titles in boys basketball, girls basketball and girls volleyball.
