Phoenix Art Museum is set to bring a major international exhibition to Arizona this fall, introducing local audiences to one of South Korea’s most celebrated painters, Kim Chong Hak.
The exhibition, titled “Kim Chong Hak, Painter of Seoraksan,” marks the first presentation of the artist’s work in the state and offers a rare opportunity to experience a significant chapter of modern Korean art.
Opening Sept. 9, and running through Feb. 21, 2027, the exhibition will be on view in the museum’s Steele Gallery. Organized by the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the show brings together more than 80 works spanning decades of the artist’s career.
