Manuel Dorantes will appear at Crown Music in Sun City, 9867 W. Bell Road, for a special Yamaha Tyros Keyboard concert.
He will perform on the Yamaha Tyros within all genres (Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Somba, Polka and Tango) at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19.
Mr. Dorantes learned to play mandolin at the age of 3 and elevated to his first professional gigs on accordion and organ at age 12, playing in social events in Mexico’s Queretaro City and others, including Acapulco, according to the Hammond X66 Organ Club. His knowledge and understanding of Mexican music was key in helping Yamaha develop the Banda, Mariachi and Norteño and TexMex expansion packs for PSR-S650/S750 and 950 and Paquetito Junior for the PSR E443, and many more in progress.
