Kepler: Reader refutes points

Just getting through the first couple of paragraphs, it was easy to see this was not written by an independent observer but an obvious Republican who relished to post about inconsistencies from Liberal writers while completely ignoring his grifters.

While his facts about quotes from the past not coming true and Al Gore was a climate opportunist in my opinion. The Obama presidency was not marred by infidelities, fraud investigations, stealing of government documents and impeachments. As far as grifters go, let’s include Steve Bannon, Roger Stone and even Trump himself who collected over $250 million in stop the steal only to use that money for the most part for his own uses.
Now on to false prophets, as we know religion has had many a false prophet over the decades. Having said that, that didn’t stop people from believing in the core principles of the Bible. My point is a few bad actors should not change the message about our climate.

As far as if climate change is real or not real, I’m not a scientist but many scientists agree our world has issues. Here in America our record with the environment is less than stellar. Arizona has nine Super Fund clean up sites, Idaho and Montana, both conservative states, have 6 and 17 sites, respectfully.

Before attacking the Democrats as evil for the environment let’s acknowledge some Republicans who have helped make America a better place to live in. Richard Nixon — responsible for the EPA and GWB The Clean Air Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act.

When I hear about how terrible electric car batteries are, let’s not forget there will be a technology to recover much of these materials. I would also like to point out that the electric car did not send tons of pollution into the air nor did it need some of the oil-type products to run.

Then Mr. Kaiser goes on to blame Biden for inflation and the war on gas which is totally a false statement. Countries suffering from high inflation are Turkey, Japan, China, USA, Canada and the UK just to name a few. I guess Biden must be pretty powerful to cause inflation in much of the world. Then of course we have the “war on gas.”

If any of our readers have traveled recently, they know gas prices are high around the globe and did Mr. Kaiser look at the record profits with oil companies as of late?

Big Oil has no incentive to lower gas prices as we live in a free market economy and the price of oil is not based on a US price or a European price, the price of oil is set for the entire globe and no producer is going to sell America oil for less money than other countries are willing to pay for it. Oil is a world commodity, not a US commodity.

Biden has as much control over the price of oil as Trump had over the shortage of toilet paper. May I suggest a refresher course on economics to those who doubt me?
