Kenton Rex Viers, 76, formerly of Littleton, CO, passed away December 5, 2018, in Sun City, after a long battle with throat cancer. Ken (Kenny, Dad, Gramps, Great Friend), was born in Fort Morgan, CO, on January 31, 1942. He was the youngest son of Virgil and Grace Parsons Viers.He is survived by wife, Cynthia (Cindy) Corley-Stanton; son, Michael (Carrie); daughter, Kristine (Roger) Bain; grandfather of Mallory, Kara, Quintin, Lauren, Haley, and Whitney; great-grandson, Jayden; stepson, Andrew Corley; and step-granddaughter, Morgan. He is preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Bailey; brother, DeLance; and step-son, Brian Corley. He attended Fort Morgan High School and Colorado School of Mines. He worked for Montgomery Ward and Information Handling Systems (IHS) in Denver before retiring in 2008. Kenny lived in Colorado and Illinois most of his life before moving to Arizona.Kenny loved music, traveling, having fun with friends and was the ultimate history buff. He wrote an unpublished novel and was famous for sending great Christmas presents to the whole family --- his homemade fudge! Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird, Sun City, AZ 85351. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Church's Choir or to Sun Cities 4-Paws Rescue, 11129 W. Michigan Avenue, Youngtown, AZ 85363.
