Dillingham prepares for second year coaching ASU football

Scottsdale native deals with changing world of collegiate athletics

Kenny Dillingham, the youngest college football head coach in the Power 5 conferences at 33 years old, is embracing the evolving landscape of college football heading into his second year at ASU.

As the Sun Devils get ready for the first season in the Big 12, the team's 2024 schedule includes two familiar faces from the PAC-12, Utah and the University of Arizona. Some schools were unable to keep their rivalry games with shifting conferences, but ASU will play Arizona to end the regular season.

“That’s awesome,” Dillingham said. “That should always be the end of the season. That’s the Territorial Cup. You have to play that the last game, in my opinion.”
