Kathleen Louise Ryan Verdoorn

Kathleen Louise Ryan Verdoorn (Kay), 76, of Sun City West, AZ, peacefully passed away January 28, 2019. Kay was born in Rock Island, IL on July 26, 1942, daughter of William Francis and Agnes Lorraine Ryan.Kay is survived by a sister, Patricia Zetterberg of Polson, MO; 2 brothers, Cornelius Ryan of South Bend, IN and Robert Ryan of Aledo, IL; three children, Angela (Edward) Rodriguez of Franklin, TN, Jeanette (Gary) Moll of Zanesville, OH and Bryan (Laura) of Wadsworth, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Arthur Edwin and her parents. Kay held various positions during her life in customer service but most recently her favorite was bocce captain. There will be a funeral Mass for Kay in Copley, OH at Guardian Angels Catholic Church on April 6th at 10:00 A.M. While she will be greatly missed as an avid cook always ready to feed anyone and conversationalist, we are comforted knowing that she can now create jewelry and other crafts to her hearts' content when not reading mysteries.
