Katherine Wahl

Katherine Wahl, 77Katherine Carol "Kappa" Wahl, sister of Sun City West resident Lois Wahl, died March 1, 2008 in Delray Beach, Fla.Ms. Wahl, who was born Dec. 26, 1930, was adored by her family, which includes her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, relatives and friends. Those close to "Kappa" described her as a gentle spirit who touched many lives.Ms. Wahl was a "pin up" girl for U.S. sailors in 1948; graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Queens, N.Y.; and was a member of the RWGs in Ridgewood, N.Y.She worked for Dr. Albert Cohen as a dental assistant. She met her husband, Alfred Kenyon, at the supermarket where he worked and had three children. Ms. Wahl was forced to raise her family by herself after her husband died at 33.Ms. Wahl remarried 38 years ago after meeting former New York policeman Robert Wahl.She is survived by her husband, family and friends.Services were held March 4-5 in Florida.
