Kampert: Resident agrees with Patterson on arming teachers
I just read an article submitted by Tom Patterson wherein he suggested that the arming of school teachers was the best way to protect out schools from nut cases bent on the slaughter of innocent children and teachers.
My response is...he is absolutely correct! As he points out, the police, and school resource officers, are expensive, and, as has been the case on at least two occasions, cannot always be counted on to respond. I hope that his article is well read because he offers a very good argument in favor of arming teachers — real common sense.
Mr. Patterson’s comments on the futility of “gun free zones” are spot on as well as his comments regarding “gun control” — it doesn’t work! Only those who abide by the law are deterred. However, he is up against a pretty heavy wall of resistance, the teachers’ union! They are adamant in their resistance to any idea of arming teachers.

Why? Well, here’s where it gets interesting to say the least. Remember, it is the union who wants to teach CRT to our children. It is the union who supports trans-genderism among the students. It is the union that supports pornography in our school libraries. It was the union that sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney General suggesting that parents who protested at school board meetings should be labeled “domestic terrorists.”
The union has an agenda and it’s NOT pro-American. It’s Marxist! Their mission is not to educate our children, it’s to indoctrinate them into accepting Socialism, Marxism. They know that they can never realize their agenda as long as the American population is armed and willing to defend our country and our Constitution. And here is where unprotected schools falls into their plans. Attacking children is always a means of gaining the attention of the population. The more children who fall victim, the more attention is gained. That attention is used to promote more gun control or outright bans. If the school shootings were eliminated, say by arming teachers, they wouldn’t be able to use our children as pawns in their drive to disarm the people and install a Marxist style government.
I know that some are saying “this guy is nuts!” for what I’ve said here but hear me out. I’m 83 and I remember what Hitler did to turn the German people against the Jews. He and his henchmen created destructive events themselves and blamed the Jews. As we all know, it worked. The same tactics are being used here.
Now, I’m not saying that the union is creating school shootings. no! I don’t think they are, but they are doing absolutely nothing to prevent them from happening. They are using their political clout to block what I think would be the most affective means of prevention offered so far.
