Judge sentences Mesa residents for defrauding AHCCCS

A Mesa man and woman have been sentenced to prison for defrauding Arizona’s low-income health care program.

U.S. District Judge Krissa M. Lanham recently sentenced Eric Riley, 39, to two years in prison and Britney Gooch, 38, to 12 months and one day, according to a release from the Arizona district of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Riley and Gooch also were ordered to pay $3.3 million in restitution to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.
