SUN CITY WEST - Joseph Conry died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. He was born March 20, 1917 near Paton, Iowa. He graduated from the School of Business at Creighton University, Omaha, Neb. in 1939. He was an FBI Special Agent in World War II. He attended Georgetown University Law School and received a law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He went into private law practice in 1961 in the State of Kansas where he resided and retired after 30 years. Joseph then moved to Sun City West, Arizona in 1992 with his wife Betty. He became active in the retirement community, especially the Cribbage Club, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother, Gene. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Betty F. Conry; children from a previous marriage; three sons, Michael Conry and his wife Carol of Denver, Colo., Thomas Conry of Houston, Texas, and John Conry of El Sobrante, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Kathryn Conry of Houston, Texas and Teresa Robinett and her husband Bill of Benbrook, Texas; along with two grandsons, Chris Conry and Eric Conry, both of Denver, Colo.; and three great grandchildren, Mia, Kevin and Dylan Conry of Denver, Colo. Services were Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Church of the Holy Cross in Overland Park, Kansas with visitation at 10:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements by Sunland Mortuary, Sun City, and Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas.
