John Robert Drake

John (Jack, Jake) passed away on November 6, 2024, at Banner Boswell Hospital, in Sun City, AZ of natural causes. He was 80 years old. He was born on January 23, 1944, in Chicago, IL to Eldon (Jack) and Helen Drake. John grew up in Round Lake, IL where he met his wife Linda (Christensen). They were high school sweethearts and were married on December 19, 1964. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They resided in Round Lake, IL for 29 years where they raised their two children, Trista, and Jeffery. They moved to Trevor, WI in 1993 and moved to Sun City in 2006. He spent many years golfing with his golf buddies and Friday nights with the Little Bite group. John was a licensed Plumber in the state of Illinois and worked many years in construction before working at Chrysler in Kenosha, WI, and then at Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife Linda and daughter Trista Drake of Seattle, WA., his brother Brian (Gerri) Drake of Hot Springs, AR, sister Sharon (Joseph) Quane of Centennial, CO, 2 grandchildren Kayla Drake and Darren Drake, 6 nephews Mark and Joel Drake, Mathew and Adam Quane, Anthony and Louis Gerardi. John was preceded in death by his son Jeffery (2013), and siblings Thomas Drake (2012) and Judith (Drake) Gerardi (2021).
