John Collin Patton, 80, of Sun City, Arizona, unexpectedly went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on September 20, 2023. John was born on July 14th, 1943 to Mary Jane Patton & John (Jack) Maurice Patton Jr. in Redding California. John’s family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended and graduated from Wasatch Academy in 1962. Upon graduating from Wasatch Academy, John went to work the World’s Fair, in New York City. After the World’s Fair John went to Earlham University for a short time until he was drafted into the Army. After John was honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Salt Lake City, Utah to start his family. John moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1972 to open Tucson Travel Land RV. John was employed in the recreational vehicles, automobile, and mobile home industry for over 15 years. John was passionate about the sales industry and made a leap into real estate. He retired from the real estate industry in 2018. After retirement he went on to work for Glendale High School part-time as parking lot security. John was predeceased by his mother Mary Jane Patton, his father John (Jack) Maurice Patton Jr. and his wife Cyndy Reminder Patton. He is survived by his sister Betty Jean Martindale, his daughter Julie Anne Patton, his son John Maurice Patton III, his grandchildren Emma Yesenia Martinez, Ashley Nichole Patton (Brown), Courtney Ann Patton, Max Joseph Patton, and his great-grandchildren Marigold Drew Brown, and Wilder John Brown. Services will be held at Glendale High School on Sunday, October 22nd at 2:00pm. The address to Glendale High School is 6216 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, Arizona 85301. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The L.O.P.E.S. Academy at Grand Canyon University. The L.O.P.E.S. Academy is to provide an inclusive, immersive Christian university experience for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The L.O.P.E.S. Academy is focused on finding personal purpose through academic, social and job skills development. This is a two-year workforce development non-degree program in which learners receive an internship on campus.
