John August Battaglia

John went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025 after a lengthy illness. John was born May 17, 1937 in Latrobe, PA to Salvatore and Margaret Battaglia (Lovera).
John volunteered for the draft and served in the U.S. Army. Later, he was employed by Ford Motor Company in Michigan. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 38 years. He met and married the love of his life, Joanne Reiff Bilovus in 1980. They have been married 45 years. In 1993, John retired from Ford and he and Joanne moved to Sun City, Arizona. John loved the game of golf and loved helping others with their game when they were struggling. He always wanted to help people.
John is survived by his wife Joanne, stepson, David Bilovus, stepdaughter, Martina Osip, grandsons, Brendan Bilovus, Alex Osip and his wife Julia, Granddaughter, Ashley Osip Lamb and her husband Ryan Lamb, great-grandchildren, Bryer and Wyatt Bilovus and April and Caroline Osip, and Amy Timmer. He is also survived by nephews Anthony Battaglia and Richard Battaglia and wife Jennifer, Great-nephew, Mario Battaglia and Great niece, Julia Battaglia. Also, John’s brother Mario (Joe) Battaglia and wife Martha Jane.
John will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. There will be a private interment at Sunland Memorial.
