Jewelry business to reuse former restaurant building in Mesa

A business that its owner says could bring in $10 million in sales annually is slated to take over half of a former Goody’s Cafe restaurant building in Mesa.

The look and landscaping for the Nelson Estate Jewelry commercial building on 1 acre north of Baseline Road and east of Dobson Road were discussed at a recent meeting of the Mesa Design Review Board.

The vacant restaurant is part of a commercial center and was constructed between 1976 and 1979 when design review was not required, Staff Planner Samantha Brannagan said at the July 11 meeting.
