Jerry L. Gephart

Jerry L. Gephart, 81, of Findlay and formerly of Sun City, Arizona, passed away at 1:28 A.M., Monday, November 26, 2018, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. He was born on February 8, 1937, in Findlay to the late Myrl C., Sr. and Velma M. (Krugh) Gephart. He married Dolores M. Sonnett on June 23, 1956, and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2018.Jerry is also survived by his son, Craig (Lisa) Gephart of Findlay; his daughters: Tina (Tom) Wood of Findlay and Melissa (Tom) Inbody of Arlington; his brother, Myrl Gephart, Jr. of Mansfield; his grandchildren: Libby (Jordan) Ohler, Travis (Megan Mowbray) Wood, Hannah (Chris) Chabot, Hayden (Mary Dicesare) Gephart, Kelsey Inbody and Kindal Inbody; his great-grandchildren: Audrey Ohler and Jackson Ohler; his sister-in-law, Beth Sonnett of Sun City, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.Jerry retired from the University of Findlay after many years, where he was the Business Manager. He and Dolores attended College First Church of God. Jerry was an avid golfer, especially during his time in Sun City, Arizona.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be held 2 hours (10 A.M.-12 P.M.) prior to the service. Pastor David Welker will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeway Academy, Columbus, OH and/or Hancock County Humane Society.
