Mr. James Knox is right on point. I agree with everything he said in the article. It is good to hear that there are people on the QCUSD Governing Board that have common sense. Because common sense isn't so common any longer. Mr. Knox speaks "The Truth" not "a truth," "The Truth!" Grading an F score as an A score is irresponsible and detrimental. It would seem that the voters have also posed their disproval of the AZED system by voting down the bond. The education system needs to show "we the people" that you are doing your job of truly educating the children of Arizona, and then you get more money.
If the best worker in a company provided an F job performance, but that lack of achievement is graded as an A, that company would quickly fail to exist. Would anyone, thinking QCUSD deserves the A grade, buy a home or car from a business that provides a substandard product? I would think not!
The real world doesn't grade on a curve, stop teaching our kids that it does. Teaching them those values or lack thereof is setting them and this country up to fail. What the children of America (i.e. Queen Creek) need is an education that will help them succeed. Of course, not everyone is an Einstein. Learning a trade can be just as important as a college degree. EVIT and other trade schools should be funded to help our kids seek out opportunities to be productive members of our society.

I applauded Mr. Knox for having the courage to speak up. I am encouraged that he is part of QCUSD Governing Board. I hope and pray there are more like him on that and other school boards.
