BARRINGTON, R.I. - Jeannette E. Sylvia, 83, of Lake Avenue, Barrington, R.I., died peacefully on Feb. 2, 2011. She was the wife of the late Karl M. Sylvia. Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Michael and Isabelle (Paquette) O'Neil, she was a lifelong resident of Barrington and Spent winters with her long time companion Michael Guliano Sr. in Sun City West, Ariz. Mrs. Sylvia was a cashier at the former Almacs supermarket for 25 years before retiring in 1989. Jeannette was a communicant of Holy Angels Church in Barrington. She enjoyed golfing, socializing with family and friends, and well known for her backyard pool parties. She is survived by her children, Karl and Mary (Marrese) Sylvia of Barrington and Karen L. and Chuck Barry of Lake Worth, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Matthew, Jennifer and Chad; and a great-grandson, Charlie. She was the sister of the late John, Joseph and Margaret O'Neil. She also leaves behind her extended Family, those of Mr. Guliano who loved her dearly. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
