Jeanne Westerberg

Jeanne Westerberg, February 6, 1926 - April 9, 2017. Jeanne Rowenhorst was born on February 6, 1926 in northwest Iowa. She marrried Milt Westerberg on August 31, 1946. They settled in Wenatchee, WA to raise their three children.Jeanne had a life-long passion for music, especially sacred and classical vocals. She was a first soprano and accomplished pianist. She sng with the choir and ensemble at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church in Sun City West for many years.She was an expert seamstress, a strong athlete, a skilled bridge player, a world traveller and a lover of chocolate.Westy (Milt) and Jeanne lived in Seattle when they began to spend the winters to Sun City West in the 1980's A one month stay grew longer every year. Starting about 2010 they stayed year round.Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Milt "Westy" Westerberg. She is survived by her three children Susan Baker, Steve Westerberg and Sheri Smith, six grandchildren one great-granddaughter and her special friend Dick Gira. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 20 at 1:00 PM at the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church. Memorial gifts may be sent to the music program at the church.
