James L. Karstens

James L. Karstens of Sun City, AZ; 90 years old, passed away Friday afternoon, January 4, 2019, survived by his wife Marjorie with 68 and half years of marriage. Jim served 3 years in the United States Navy and Pacific & European theatre. Employed by O.P.P.D. for 38 years; 20 year member of Ralston Vol Fire Department, life time member of Ralston, NE. American Legion Post 373. They raised three sons in Nebraska, Curtis (Sharon) now of Georgetown, TX; Scott of Tucson, AZ, Tim (Tina) of Gretna, NE. Three grandchildren, Stephanie, (Jason) TX; Dreu and Tyler of NE. Three great-grandchildren, Brandon, McKenzie and Cameron of Allen, TX. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Agnes, 9 siblings and grandson, Ted. Survived by sister, Marilyn Burdic of Malvern, IA, nieces and nephews.Family all members of Ralston United Church of Christ. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at their church, United Church of Sun City, 11250 North 107th Ave., Sun City, AZ, 85351.
