SUN CITY - James L. Heath of Sun City, passed away on October 17, 2013. He had just celebrated his 75th birthday. He had a very rare form of cancer that he fought over six years ago and then again for the past 18 months. He will be remembered as a wonderful person who was liked and loved by many. He had donated a kidney to a friend ten years ago so that friend might have a better and longer life. Upon death Jim had donated his body to the Biological Research Center hoping it might help to know more about the rare cancer he had. He was always appreciative of the many doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped him through his cancer journey. After retirement, Jim worked in transportation at a few of the local assisted living facilities where he befriended many. He also was a volunteer at Boswell Hospital and enjoyed his work there until his second bout with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte Heath; his sons, James L. Heath III and Matthew B. Heath. He also leaves his daughters in law, Jennifer and Marci Heath; and four grandchildren, Jesse, Austin, Emily and Jordyn. Jim is also survived by his brother, Lee Heath. Jim will be laid to rest at the Phoenix VA Cemetery. He will be terribly missed.
