James (Jim) Blackman, 84, died April 8, 2021 in Lafayette, IN.
He was born January 27, 1937 in Moline, IL, to Wilbert and Eleanor (Bergstrom) Blackman. Jim graduated from Rock Island High and obtained his BA from Missouri Western University.
He married Janice Sanders in May 1958. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2007.
While living in Colorado Springs, CO, Jim owned an Allstate Insurance Agency. He was a member of the Elks and Lyons Clubs.
Jim retired in SCW and worshipped at Lord-of-Life Lutheran Church. Jim enjoyed golf, Casinos, playing bridge, poker, and traveling.
Surviving are his two children: Jeanne Silva and Jeff Blackman; his sister Sandra Denklau; and his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and son John Blackman.
