On May 5th, 2023, James Arthur Fenwick, 73, of Apache Junction. AZ passed away peacefully at home with his wife Joanne at his side.
James and Joanne married August 17th of 1974 and resided together in Apache Junction for 48 years. They have enjoyed magnificent views of the Superstition Mountains every single day.
James graduated from Seton High in Chandler, AZ. At the age of 18, in 1967 he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a morse code interceptor and fought for his country in Vietnam. He was awarded with several medals, The Air Metal he was most proud of. He was honorably discharged in 1971.
In his truck cab, James logged thousands of miles in the lower 48. He delivered lumber, supplies, and goods across the nation. He loved his job as a CDL truck driver for 30+ years. He then “retired” to drive a bus for special needs children for 3 years.
James, the youngest of two children born to Arthur and Mary Fenwick of Buffalo, New York. His sister, Sharon Acke moved to Arizona about 10 years ago to be closer to family.
James was very proud of his small family. He is survived by his wife Joanne, sister Sharon, daughter Stacey, grandson Andrew and granddaughter Kaitlynn.
James loved everything that had an engine. A car, motorcycle or plane, or boat, he would want to see it and hear it. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, camping and he always had a dog by his side. He loved music, loud and with a good beat. Enjoyed going to concerts and comedy shows and traveling to California or Oregon.
There was a Celebration of Life at his daughter Stacey’s home on Sunday, June 18th 2023.
