SUN CITY - Jacklyn "Jackie" Darrington was born on August 23, 1923 in Codington County, S.D. to Henry C. and Delma Andrisen of South Shore, S.D. She graduated as salutatorian from South Shore High School. On September 14, 1941 she married Arnold Darrington and together they farmed until 1957. In 1958 they moved to Yankton to join Arnold's brother Orville and his wife Clarice where together they owned and operated a Culligan Franchise business. In 1963 they moved to Mitchell, S.D. to operate a Culligan Dealership where Jacklyn was the bookkeeper until retiring and moving to Sun City, Ariz. Jackie was very involved with her church at all locations as Sunday school teacher, prayer chains, deacon and bible studies. Jacklyn passed away March 17, 2016 and left behind her two sons, Dan and wife Joanne Darrington of Mitchell S.D., and Pat and Connie Darrington of New River Ariz.; six grandchildren Ricard and wife Sherry of Emery S.D., Kristina Darrington and husband Frank Clark of Blaine, Minn., Heather of Dallas, Texas, Jamee and Scott Hubler of Cave Creek. Ariz., Jennifer and Ted Crawley of Paradise Valley ,Ariz., Jodi and Craig Norton of Phoenix, Ariz.; and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as six great-great-grandchildren.
