Foundry’s CIO has named the city of Glendale as a 2023 CIO 100 award winner.
For more than 30 years, the CIO 100 awards have recognized innovative global organizations that exemplify the highest level of strategic and operational excellence in IT.
The city was named a CIO 100 Award winner for its Arizona Tax Central entry. This software-as-a-service solution was an internal project that has since been sold to other Valley cities.
The project work was done in-house as part of a collaboration with the Department of Revenue. The Arizona Tax Central platform will become SOC 2 certified within the next six months.
“I challenged my team with this project and they excelled and exceeded my expectations,” Glendale’s Chief Information Officer Feroz Merchhiya shared in a statement. “We launched our platform last year with a goal of nine cities in mind. Currently, we have 20% of Valley cities using our platform.”
Executives from the winning companies will be recognized at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards on Aug. 16.
