On January 22, 2021, two days after her 96th birthday, Isabelle Fox passed away peacefully at her home in Sun City with her daughter-in-law at her side.
Born on January 20, 1925 to Frank and Catherine Sleeman in Mauston, Wisconsin, Isabelle was the 9th of 13 children. She married Robert Fox (Bob) on March 14, 1947. They lived and worked around the Chicago area during their marriage. In 1949, they had their first and only child, Dennis Robert Fox. Isabelle and Bob retired and moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1985 to enjoy the warm weather and to join Isabelle’s sister, Alice and her husband, Harry.
Isabelle loved gardening – her beautiful roses are proof of that. She was an avid golfer and played into her 90’s and enjoyed watching the sport on TV. She also loved to travel, and enjoyed many cruises during her marriage to Bob.
Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in 1990, and her only child, Dennis, who passed away after a long illness in 2005. She is survived and loved by numerous nieces and nephews and their children (and their children!) and her daughter-in-law. She is remembered by all as a generous, loving, kind soul. The family would like to thank her numerous friends and neighbors that provided her with their loving friendship and assistance. Her loss will be deeply felt by the many friends and family members she leaves behind.
There will be a Memorial Mass on June 23rd at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of St. Joachim & St. Anne; 11625 111th Avenue, Sun City, AZ. We welcome all Isabelle’s friends and family to join us in remembering Isabelle.
