Recreation Centers of Sun City members turned out in force and achieved a quorum to present five motions, one of which was to reduce the annual membership quorum.
The annual meeting quorum originally had been 100. But several years ago the RCSC board at the time changed it to 1,250. The concern at the time was that a quorum of 100 would allow a small group or single individual to introduce motions that would be detrimental to the corporation.
During the 2021 annual meeting, a motion was presented to reduce the quorum to 500. But the board since then have not addressed the proposal — until now.
