Is Surprise a good place to live? Peoria resident says ‘no’

OPINION — Surprise may well be ranked good, safe, clean, entertaining, etc. — but with three humongous, tall smokestacks projecting into the sky and toxic ejections from the gigantic so-called data center, the gas-generating behemoth will negate any assets the city has on the livability ledger.

Add to that the ICE detention center and the already for-no-good-reason toxic-chemical storage — both within spitting distance of the high school — and the liability ledger also leaps to the top in big, bold letters: Surprise is no place to live!

As to the complaint that those whose ZIP codes are not in Surprise, guess what? The toxic plumes and the devastating criminal actions of so-called federal agents will affect everyone within a 100-mile radius.
