Iowa man gets 30 months for Hickman threats

A 65-year-old Iowa man was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison Monday after leaving threating messages on the voicemail of Maricopa County Supervisor Clint Hickman.

The man, Mark Rissi, was sentenced after being charged on three counts he threatened Hickman and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office via voice messages in 2021. Rissi alleged Hickman and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office had something to do with allegedly fixing the 2020 election.

Rissi was sentenced at Sandra Day O’Connor U.S. Courthouse in downtown Phoenix.
