A police investigation from 2025 into alleged sexual misconduct by a Sunrise Mountain High School teacher and coach has surfaced, and determined that the incident did not meet the threshold for criminal charges, according to Peoria Police.
The investigation occurred in August 2025 and centered on alleged inappropriate behavior by the school’s varsity baseball coach Michael Deardoff. He was initially placed on administrative leave during the investigation but has since returned to work.
