Intersection at Elliot, Cooper close to reopening

The intersection at Elliot and Cooper roads is expected to reopen  Wednesday, Jan. 4, in the evening as crews complete work to repair a water main break, Gilbert officials said.

The intersection has been closed since  Dec. 30 since a break in the 12-inch main.

While crews finish work, the town asks that motorists use alternative routes, adhere to barricades, and not use private or business parking lots as a bypass when traveling in the area.
