Kwikbit Internet launched in Tempe on Nov. 4, aiming to bring budget-friendly and reliable internet to Contempo Tempe, a 55 and up mobile home community.
Access to reliable internet has become a necessity as students, remote workers and others increasingly use digital spaces as part of their day-to-day routine — part of why Kwikbit Internet has been trying to break into impacted demographics.
Kwikbit, based out of Minneapolis, set out to address underserved or disenfranchised communities, places CEO Joe Costello said have a “real” need for more affordable internet services and are ideal for newer technologies.
