Interim U.S. Attorney for Arizona district takes office

Timothy Courchaine has been sworn in as interim United States Attorney for the District of Arizona following his appointment Feb. 28 by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

He leads a staff of approximately 350 prosecutors, civil litigators and support personnel across Arizona.

Courchaine began his service to the district of Arizona in 2020 as an assistant U.S. Attorney.  Prior to joining the Department of Justice, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a judge advocate and left the service as a captain.

Interim U.S. Attorney for Arizona district takes office

Timothy Courchaine has been sworn in as interim United States Attorney for the District of Arizona following his appointment Feb. 28 by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

He leads a staff of approximately 350 prosecutors, civil litigators and support personnel across Arizona.

Courchaine began his service to the district of Arizona in 2020 as an assistant U.S. Attorney.  Prior to joining the Department of Justice, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a judge advocate and left the service as a captain.

He replaces Gary Restaino, who was appointed by former President Joe Biden. President Donald Trump terminated him from the position last month.
