Intel announces 385 layoffs in Chandler

As some expected, some of the more than 15,000 layoffs announced by Intel Corp. earlier this year will directly affect Chandler.

Intel has told a state agency a maximum of 385 layoffs will take place in Chandler within the next 60 days. This comes on the heels of other announcements this year about cost-cutting.

In early August, the semiconductor manufacturer announced it would cut more than 15,000 jobs companywide after it had taken a net loss of $1.6 billion for the second quarter of 2024.
