As Paradise Valley Police Department Cmdr. Freeman Carney prepares to take over for Chief Peter Wingert, they shared their goals, accomplishments and praise for the department and town council.
“I care very deeply about the residents of Paradise Valley,” Carney said. “I care very deeply about our staff here at the police department, and I feel humbled and blessed by this opportunity to serve in this capacity.”
Carney is taking over Dec. 10 for Wingert, who has accepted a consulting position with a national police policy and training organization.
