The Phoenix Women’s Division of American Friends of Magen David Adom is hosting a Leadership Tea in Scottsdale on Sunday, April 23.
The event features Lizzy Savetsky, a social media fashion influencer, who in recent years has taken an active role in speaking out about increasing anti-Semitism in the United States and throughout the world. Stacie Brockman, an award-winning brand builder, journalist, entrepreneur and investor will serve as the interviewer.
Savetsky has more than 225,000 followers on Instagram @lizzysavetsky that showcases a passion for Jewish life, Israel, matchmaking and fashion, according to a press release. She was slated to star on “Real Housewives of New York” in 2022 but left the show during its early filming due to an onslaught of anti-Semitic comments when her involvement was announced.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Savetsky recently moved to New York City with her family, where she served as honorary grand marshal for the the 2022 Celebrate Israel Parade. She recently launched “BASHERT,” an IGTV weekly series to help Jewish singles find love.
“We’re very excited to welcome Lizzy to the Phoenix area,” Rachel Scotch, founder of the Phoenix Women’s Division, said in the release.
“We expect a compelling conversation about the disturbing rise of antisemitism around the world, the role social media plays in supporting Israel, and how each of us can make an impact,” Jessica Rosenblum, co-chair of the event, said in the release. “And one way to make an impact is to support Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service organization that saves lives every single day.”
The event begins at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $108 for general admission and $54 for anyone under 21 years old. A VIP ticket is available to attend a private reception with Lizzy Savetsky at 2 p.m for $360.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their partners, spouses and friends. Due to security concerns, the venue in Scottsdale will be provided only upon registration. For more information, contact Elana Michael at 619.489.0329 or visit afmda.org/lizzy-arizona.
