Inflation not expected to avert Thanksgiving travelers

Thanksgiving travel is inflation-proof, apparently.

About 55 million people around the U.S. are expected to travel next week for turkey day — a 1.5% increase from last year, according to AAA data. This comes even as gas and food prices spiked and have stayed elevated amid a 40-year high for inflation across the country.

But those factors aren’t expected to stop travelers from heading home this holiday season.
