Infinity Fitness AZ announces its 10-year anniversary, and to celebrate this milestone and its new Raintree location, 8698 E. Raintree Drive, the Scottsdale Chamber will be on site for a ribbon cutting and open house noon-1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8.
Additionally, April Wallace has been promoted to co-owner of the Scottsdale gym.
The locally owned gym was started in 2013 by Dave Stansbery and has grown by ~50% in the past few years. Wallace, a Scottsdale resident, was one of the gym’s first members and became a certified coach in 2015 and then general manager in 2019.
“She kept us going throughout the pandemic,” said Stansbery. “She created online and outdoor workouts and did everything possible to keep our community together. April was the glue that held us together. We are very excited about her decision to become a co-owner. She will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow!”
Wallace has been devoted to fitness for most of her life. She loves strength training, running, boxing, spin, kickboxing and obstacle course racing. While fitness has always been a large part of her life, she decided to pursue a new career after becoming immersed in the Infinity Fitness AZ community. She holds her master’s in social work and has lived in Scottsdale for 15 years, raising her three daughters. She is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, organizes the Spartan races, fitness challenges, and coordinates the gym’s philanthropic efforts.
The open house will feature refreshments and a free workout for non-members. To register for the workout, email infinityfitnessaz@gmail.com or call 480-948-3241.
