Posted

An infant is dead and a man is in critical condition following a Sunday afternoon crash in Goodyear, officials said.

The single-vehicle collision on Perryville Road occurred when a vehicle hit a power pole, according to the Goodyear Fire Department.

The infant and 28-year-old man were ejected from the vehicle.

The infant died at the scene, and the man was taken to a trauma center,  authorities said.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
