Independence Day tailgate party held in Buckeye

Buckeye’s annual family-friendly Independence Day Celebration kicks off on July 4 at the Buckeye Municipal Airport for an evening of music, food, tailgating and fireworks.

Events start at 6:30 p.m. with Chad Freeman & Redline Band on stage. A variety of food trucks and beverage vendors will be in attendance to enjoy while listening to the band and playing games. Bottled water, soft drinks and your own snacks are welcome, but no glass containers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and yard games to have fun before the 25-minute fireworks display at 9 p.m.

To start the fireworks show, the Aerial Extreme Skydiving Team will light up the night sky as they parachute from above accompanied by the National Anthem.

Personal fireworks are prohibited, and it's recommend that you leave your pets at home for this event, service animals are permitted.

Buckeye Municipal Airport is at 3000 S. Palo Verde Road. Vulcan Materials is the presenting sponsor for the event.
